Irish Foster Care Association are holding their National Conference this November.

Call for Papers

The Conference will be attended by general/relative foster carers, social workers, academics and others involved in the area of foster care.  

We are seeking abstracts for workshops to be presented on Saturday, 15th November that will focus on the theme; ‘Why we Care’.  Why do foster carers care/continue to care for children/young people requiring alternative care, why do birth children of the foster family care, why do children in care, care?   Abstracts will be considered from all with an interest in or who are involved in the foster care system.

Abstract submissions are required for 90 minute workshop presentations; approx. 200 words to include brief bio of presenter.

Please submit abstracts by 7th May 2014 to breda.odonovan@ifca.ie.
